William Morris Brother Rabbit Pvc / Oilcloth Floral Tablecloth Fabric By The Half Metre
This Licensed William Morris Design was first produced in May 1882. It is also known sometimes as Brer Rabbit and was inspired and named after a character in Uncle Remus, His song and Sayings by J.C.Harris (1881) which William Morris would read to his daughters Jenny and May.
The 100% cotton cloth has been coated in a clear gloss polish wipe clean pvc coating which is soft and drapes well. Just like all our fabric, our William Morris Brother Rabbit pvc is printed and pvc coated in the United Kingdom.
The design was produced at Merton Abbey using the Indigo discharge method of printing.
The Birds and rabbits within the design were drawn Morris' good friend and colleague by Philip Webb.
Measurements: The pvc fabric is 140 cm wide. The pattern repeat is 18cm.
If you purchase more than half a metre the fabric within the same order, it will be sent as one continuous piece.
