Baking Coconut Macaroons

When I was young my mum made coconut macaroons all the time so I recently decided to try them
This is the receipe I used
- 100g dessicated coconut
- 100g caster sugar
- 2 (medium-sized) egg whites
- 1tbsp plain plour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1tsp vanilla extract
Line the baking tray with the greaseproof paper and heat the oven to 160 degrees
Mix all the ingredients together to form a sticky slightly runny mixture
I tried to use the egg cup she used but could not get them out! so just formed them with a spoon.
Cook for approx 13 – 15 minutes until lightly golden and then add the cherry
Allow to cool and enjoy!
They were very well received at mums birthday party!
