The Queen Mary was built for speed, taking mail across the atlantic, she was a Royal Mail Steamer. This may have been her purpose, but she is famous for her Art Deco styling and luxury.

During the golden age of ocean travel the RMS Queen Mary was THE way to cross the Atlantic, the fabulous interior and accommodation with wonderful food made the 1st class lounges a meeting place for the film stars and politicians of the time.

There are photographs on board of Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother), The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Winston Churchill, Bing Crosby, Walt Disney,Elizabeth Taylor and many other famous stars.
