Cold Bath Road was originally built to link the Sulphur Well at Low Harrogate and the Cold Bath. It is a very characterful area consisting almost entirely of handsome Edwardian, Victorian and Georgian houses made of sandstone with Welsh slate roofs. The buildings, many of which have gabled or bay windows, turrets and towers, are enhanced by dressed stone details such as date plaques, mullions and quoins. Most of the buildings have sash windows and other timber work detailing which add to their charm.
