Perhaps you’ve got a moment to learn more about us? We’re a family business based in Yorkshire, printing and manufacturing our licensed William Morris 100% cotton fabrics in the United Kingdom.
It all began when Gill founded the business with the guidance and support of her late father, Ted. An incredibly knowledgeable man, he had 55 years of experience in the textile industry and along with many funny sayings, was generous with sharing his expertise in design, development, manufacturing, buying and retailing. It helped set up Laura’s Beau and lots of the principles of business have now been passed down again from Gill to Laura, who is now running the business.
Lots of what was set out to achieve in 1994 remains today, we always wanted to print in the UK, supporting the textile and manufacturing industry. We wanted to retain traditional quality. Ted’s principle of “good business with nice people” remains today here at Laura’s Beau.
We licence and produce a range of William Morris designs. We have always loved William Morris designs and knew this was something we’d love to do, to carry on sharing his art to new generations. They’re all so timeless, all these years after being designed, they’re still relevant and beautiful in modern and traditional homes and spaces. We have an ever growing collection of licensed William Morris designs, which we manufacture in the UK into a huge range of products, we hope you love these designs as much as we do.

We also have a French textile archive dated from the late 1800s- early 1900s, which we use to faithfully restore designs to their former glory. These exclusive designs can all be seen on our website. We love that they bring the French countryside indoors with their beautiful designs that we’ve saved from being forgotten in history by restoring them from the archive.
As we’ve grown over the years, we have developed our ranges and product lines and sold them around the world. There’s something exciting about knowing that our products are decorating homes around the world!

🌿 Cotton
Lighter, softer and easy to sew. It drapes beautifully and is perfect for:
- Dressmaking, like skirts, blouses and shirts
- Quilting and patchwork
- Pillowcases and bedding
- Bunting, lavender bags and small crafts
- Lightweight curtains
🌿 Heavyweight cotton
Thicker and sturdier, It holds its shape and stands up to light upholstery use, so it’s ideal for:

- Curtains and roman blinds
- Light upholstery, like chair seats and headboards
- Tote bags and aprons
- Tablecloths and placemats
