Aubrey Beardsley (1872–1898) is an interesting artist who died from tuberculosis when he was aged only 26 years old. In his short life, Beardsley made a big contribution to Aesthetic Movement, which grew out of the work of William Morris and the PreRahaelites. When Beardsley was 16, he started work in an architects’ office but, three years later, he visited Edward Burne Jones’ studio in London and Burne Jones encouraged Beardsley to take up formal art training, which Beardsley did the following year.
