Henry Ryland (1856–1924) was an artist, illustrator, and designer who was influenced by William Morris and the PreRaphaelites. Although he is now remembered mostly for his paintings he was also a designer of stained glass, tiles and woodcuts. Ryland’s work as an illustrator was highly regarded by Walter Crane
This is one of his many full-page magazine illustrations from The English Illustrated Magazine. It is an illustration of the poem Forget Not Yet by Sir Thomas Wyat.
