On the 21st of February, 2013 Royal Mail issued a set of 6 stamps featuring the books of Jane Austin. It is now 200 years since Pride and Prejudice was first printed and it has sold over 20 million copies.
The stamps have been illustrated by Angela Barrett, who is a member of the Art Workers guild. William Morris became Master of the Art Workers guild in 1892; his portrait bust can be seen in the meeting hall.
The Guild Master holds the post for one year. The formal business of the meetings is conducted in special robes which were designed by C F A Voysey.
