When Edward Hudson bought Lindisfarne Castle in 1901 asked his friend Edwin Lutyens to create a summer home for him.
Edwin Lutyens was one of the great Arts & Crafts designers of the day, a follower of the Arts & Crafts movement that William Morris founded.
The dining room is lovely, it was where Hudson held many lively dinner partys with a selection of famous friends, including J.M Barrie the author of Peter Pan.
This lovely Castle is a must see if you are ever in Northumberland.
