John Henry Dearle was a British textile and stained-glass designer who was trained by William Morris and eventually, following Morris' influences of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood rose to become Morris & Co.'s chief designer by 1890 and, following Morris' death in 1896, he was appointed Art Director, and became the principle stained glass designer upon the death of Edward Burne-Jones in 1898.
