Holy Trinity Church is a beautiful medieval church which originated in Norman times as a priory. The church contains stained glass by Charles Eamer Kempe. Kempe was an undergraduate at Pembroke College, Oxford when it was the home of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Like William Morris, Kempe made a thorough study of medieval stained glass and Owen Chadwick considered Kempe’s stained glass work to be superior to William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.
