This is the dress that the wonderful actress, Claire Bloom, wore in The King’s Speech. It is a great film, with lovely costumes and locations. The Worshipful Company of Drapers’ Hall, (which has carpets and furniture from William Morris’ Merton Abbey Factory), was used to represent St James’s Palace. You can see the dress in the current exhibition at the Barley Hall in York.
