Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast has been popular with tourists since the 17th century due to Thomasin Farrer finding natural spring water beneath the cliff at the south of the town.
After a fire in the previous spa building the architect and landscape gardener Joseph Paxton created the Spa we see today.
In 1858 the spa opened and became the most popular musical venue outside London.
During the Victorian era Scarborough became a beautiful seaside resort.
On a sunny afternoon the spa is a wonderful place to enjoy an outdoor concert.
As I walked past a lady sat enjoying the music, I noticed she had one of our William Morris strawberry thief medium bags!
