What could you make from our fabric?

2nd November 2017

We’ve recently received a number of photos from our customers who have bought our William Morris fabric which we sell by the half meter. It’s always amazing to see what you crafty bunch make, remember to send your projects to [email protected] and we will send you a discount code for 20% off our entire website to say thank you!

We received this from Sue, we love the lace around the Merton fabric, it really adds to the design and makes it that much more special. There’s also the added detail of the embroidery in the middle too – what a perfect feature cushion!

Janey has made a beautiful lampshade from our William Morris Brother Rabbit fabric! She said, “I have made a lovely taper drum lampshade using your fabric – what fantastic quality the fabric is and how very good to work with.”

Karen made this wonderful Strawberry Thief bag, she wrote us a lovely email too: “I made my vintage bag and it looks lovely! I wanted it to have a carpet bag feel so I added the fringing. I didn’t want a contrast for the liner and outer so went with cotton Strawberry Thief for the outer and cotton drill Strawberry Thief for the liner which looks lovely. Just a slight difference in the two shades which gives variation without contrast.
Very pleased with the outcome, and very pleased with the fabric. A joy to cut and sew with, fantastic colour and clear patterns.”

Sue used our William Morris green fabric to re cover her dining room chairs. Re covering your chairs are an incredibly easy way to give new life to tired chairs which have been well worn over time. It brightens them up hugely and can be done however often you’d like to keep the room fresh and updated to match your current tastes without splashing out on a whole new dining set. Sue even had enough fabric left to make 4 table mats to match!

Clare has just completed her ottoman project by recovering the top with our Red Strawberry Thief fabric. It really compliments the already beautiful piece of furniture and really adds some more detail to the piece! Just like Sue’s chairs, it’s an easy way to breathe new life into furniture to re cover them whenever you want!

Maggy has just created this William Morris Eyebright tote bag with long handles which we’re sure will be really useful for all her Christmas Shopping!

Remember to send us your photographs of projects – we’d love to see them!
