A Laura’s Beau Christmas Gift Guide

27th November 2017

Whoever you’re shopping for this Christmas, we’re sure our handy Christmas gift guide will help you! Whether they love William Morris designs, French florals or you think they will enjoy our Christmas Reindeer & Snowflake design, we’ve got it all!

For the Christmas lovers…

Reindeer & Snowflake is one of our most popular designs this time of year. The Nordic design is true to Scandinavian style, with clean, simplistic patterns and lines. If your buying a gift for a fan of Christmas or you’re one yourself, we have tablecloths, aprons, tea towels and fabric in this design so you can make any craft project you’d like! The pvc apron in the Christmas pattern are now available as lots of you last year asked for a pvc apron as well as a cotton one. The pvc is wipe clean so it’s super handy for when you’ve got a busy month of cooking and baking! The pvc apron is a lovely stocking filler too if you’re going for Christmas dinner at a friends or families house as the chef will be able to pop it on!

For the lover of all things Paris…

There’s nowhere quite like Paris, for the friend who loves to visit, bring her a touch of Parisian sophistication with Hearts & Kisses. The design is based on a trip we took to Paris a few years ago, the diamond design reminiscent of the wrought iron on the Eiffel Tower. When we got home we used this inspiration to look into our late 1800 – early 1900 French Archive and using our inspiration we created Hearts & Kisses! Whenever the Christmas decorations come down, we always feel a little deflated, so cheer up your loved ones homes with new textiles for their Christmas presents! With matching napkins and a 1950s style apron, they’re sure to smile every time they throw a dinner party or just have their dinner! We thought we needed to include this since who doesn’t want to send hearts & kisses at Christmas time!

For the admirers of William Morris…

We couldn’t possibly just choose one design to include in our gift guide! We’ve got an incredibly large range of licensed William Morris designs now, with new launches of Brother Rabbit Red and Trellis and our Trellis Quote collection we hope you’ve seen! Whatever colours your loved one has in their home, there’s definitely a design they will love. Red Strawberry Thief goes beautifully with dark wood in a home and Willow Bough blue looks gorgeous in a light bright home – though swap them over and they will look just as lovely! As we’ve said, since January brings the decorations being brought down, the deflation of excitement and the darker nights we find new household textiles – especially tablecloths and placemats, really brighten up the place! Our tablecloths come in various sizes to make sure there’s the right one for you.

For the craft loving friend…

Buying a gift for a craft lover is always tricky. If you don’t know what they have in their collection with seemingly unlimited amounts of sewing accessories, there’s one thing a crafter can’t ever get enough of – fabric! To inspire their next project, we sell our fabric by the half metre so from big to small projects, they can make anything! To check out some of the projects our customers have done in the past, have a look at our blog! You could get a few designs for them and tie them together with a big bow for a beautiful gift!

We have four fabric weights – cotton, cotton drill, heavyweight and pvc plus we also have bias binding!

For those with a New Years resolution…

Hands up if your New Years resolution has ever been to develop your skills in the kitchen! There’s so many delicious recipes online now and with The Great British Bake Off inspiring us to be better bakers every year, an apron is a fantastic gift to yourself or another resolution maker! You’re sure to be more committed if you’ve got a fancy apron to dance around the kitchen in! Many of our William Morris aprons are available in cotton and in a pvc fabric.

We hope you’ve found the perfect Christmas present for your loved one this year!
