We’re all into arts & crafts over here at Laura’s Beau and love to see the projects you create with our fabric. A blog series we always run is, ‘what our customers make with our fabric,’ if you’d like to share with others your project to inspire them with what they could create- please send your photos to: [email protected]
If you’ve ever been scouting around an antique shop and fancied a rocking chair but found it needs sprucing up or have one in your house that could do with some TLC, how about recovering the fabric! As Amanda shows us, this American rocking chair looks amazing with some Brother Rabbit fabric which brings out the colour of the wood beautifully. Give a new lease of life to furniture by making it look like new!
A bright pattern can really liven up a room and by placing cushions on a one colour couch can brighten it up- even better, cushions are so easy to change in and out and swap between rooms so you can keep a room’s colour scheme and vibe changing without having to make too much effort! Making a cushion is easy to do, so if you’d like to make some beautiful cushions like Judith’s, follow this easy guide by the Guardian!
Many love our cotton and heavyweight fabric to create curtains from. We’re late to the game posting this one- but Jo sent this photo to us in January of her curtains in her home in Clayton, Ontario, Canada where the temperature was -17°C – bit chilly for us!
If you’re interested in our fabric, it comes in a huge array of licensed William Morris designs and fabric types/ weights and is sold on our website by the half metre- meaning no matter the size and scale of your project, you can find exactly what you’re looking for, just click here!
