We’re always trying to get as much information as possible into our blogs, and we thought we’d use this blog to answer some of our frequently asked questions, especially when it comes to our William Morris fabrics. Hopefully this answers a lot of questions, if you have any to add, don’t hesitate in sending us a message!
Yes – all of our William Morris designs are all licensed designs. All of our fabrics are printed and all our products manufactured in the United Kingdom. All our licensed William Morris designs are printed both size and colour wise to our own specifications.
All our fabric is sold by the half metre, so for a longer piece of fabric, just click the quantity drop down and select a longer length. All fabric in the same design, bought in the same transaction, will be cut as a continuous piece of fabric.
Our cotton and heavyweight fabrics are both 152cm wide including a slight salve edge. Our pvc fabric is 140cm wide.
Our postage is free within the UK, for abroad postage, it is calculated on the weight of the combined order.
Please note that we are not responsible for the calculations and charges of any additional customs fees/taxes charged by the transportation company.
Yes, we offer free samples within the UK, please just get in touch with your address and which samples you’d like to see in which weights.
We do not do custom orders, all the sizes of tablecloths available are listed on our website, 132 x 178cm, 132 x 229cm, 147cm round cotton and 137cm pvc tablecloths. If you’d like another size, we do have the fabric by the half metre. For the pvc fabric by the half metre, it works great as a tablecloth as it won’t fray so you don’t need to hem it and can put it straight on the table.
The creases in our pvc fabrics should all fall out when put back on the table. If they don’t, you can iron the pvc on the reverse – make sure you do not iron on the non shiny side. You must iron it on the cotton side. Make sure when you’re ironing that you keep your iron on a low heat and keep moving your iron around, don’t leave it in one spot for too long. Then, leave it to cool before putting it back on your table so it doesn’t affect the shine of your table.
Our washing instructions are on the individual listings. For our fabrics, we recommend you fold the fabric face to face (pattern to pattern) to help prevent abrasion from the washing machine. We would recommend against washing big lengths of fabric at once as if you fold it and it over fills the drum, it can cause abrasions.
For fabric we recommend washing at 30 degrees.
We hope you’re happy with your order, but if you’d like to refund it or exchange it, you’re more than welcome to. We are pleased to offer free UK postage, but are unable to also offer free returns. You will find a returns form in the parcel with your order, please make sure to fill this out and return it to us so we can process your refund or exchange quicker.
For bigger projects, if you’re unsure if we’ll have enough fabric in stock, be sure to give us a call or send us an email to discuss. We might have the fabric in stock but not have in in one length so we can discuss options for this.
As with all cotton printing, there may be variations between print batches for which there has to be a tolerance. We’d recommend if you’re doing a bigger project which will take a longer length of time, to purchase all the fabric you need all at once so it’s from the same print run.
We do! It’s an option you can choose at checkout, we will gift wrap your order and write a gift tag with your message on. We will not include invoices in with your gift wrapped order, so if you’d like a copy please do get in touch. You will also be emailed your order at time of purchase.
