This Licensed William Morris Design was first produced in May 1882. It is also known sometimes as Brer Rabbit and was inspired and named after a character in Uncle Remus, His song and Sayings by J.C.Harris (1881) which William Morris would read to his daughters Jenny and May. First produced at Merton Abbey, it was originally printed using the Indigo Dye technique. Philip Webb drew the birds and rabbits within the design.
The 100% cotton tablecloth is hemmed around the edge and is a perfect addition to your table to add beautiful florals to your home.

Just like all our products, our William Morris Brother Rabbit tablecloth has been printed and manufactured in the north of England. The 100% cotton tablecloth is hemmed around the edge. Our tablecloths are available in three sizes: 147cm round, 132 x 178cm and 132 x 229cm. There's lots of matching items for this design including napkins and aprons.

Did you know that in Japan where our projects are sold, our tea towels are used not only for being functional but for decoration - we love that they’re framed, or laid on the table as a centrepiece to be admired or hung as a draped item to bring some nature indoors 🌿 we thought we’d do the same by using the tea towel as a centrepiece for a simple cup of tea and very delicious piece of cake! 🍰
