Our Trellis design is a licensed William Morris design that was first produced in 1864. Trellis was inspired by the rose garden of Morris' home Red House in Bexleyheath. Trellis was the first wallpaper design Morris produced but was only printed in the early 1870s when his company Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. had enough money to finance the design. Since it's a detailed and complex design and one full of colour at a time printing required block printing, it was necessary for him to have formed the Firm before he could print Trellis. The birds within Trellis were designed by Morris' good friend and colleague, Philip Webb.
The Trellis cotton fabric has been coated in a clear gloss pvc wipe clean coating and is wipe clean.
Our pvc fabric won't fray, so there's no need to hem, you can put it straight on the table.
Our pvc fabric is 140cm wide. The pattern repeat for Trellis is 20.5cm. For the fabric length, it's sold by the half metre, so you can choose your length using the drop down above. If you order more than 0.5m in the same order, it will be sent as a continuous length.
