There is a maypole in Otley, West Yorkshire, in Manchester Square, where Boroughgate and Walkergate meet.
The current maypole is 75 feet long, with 8 feet below ground. .Painted green with a weather vane on top, it stands in raised stone steps. The notice from Otley Town Council reads: “A maypole has stood on this site for many centuries. Present pole erected 1962”
The maypole has a second white maypole in front of it and it is this which is used for dancing around.

Our William Morris florals Daisy and Willow Bough Green expertly modelled by Bertie during his weekend away to the beautiful @castle_howard - he enjoyed wearing a floral cravatte and bow tie pretending to be a Bridgerton (the bow tie did indeed end up being a bow on the top of his head after one too many sniffs 😂🎀)
