At Laura’s Beau, we’ve always believed that great design should be timeless. Trends may come and go, but a beautiful print — whether it’s one of our own original florals or a classic William Morris design — will always feel right at home.
There’s a reason William Morris’s designs have remained beloved for over a century. His philosophy of bringing art into everyday life, combined with nature-inspired patterns and rich, thoughtful colour palettes, makes his work as relevant today as it was in the 19th century. As Morris was quoted, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” We’re pleased our textiles abide by this and are proud that these iconic Morris designs sit alongside our own original florals, each created to bring lasting beauty to your home — season after season.
We thought we’d walk through the seasons to show you how we style our deigns in different ways for every season. If you’d like to see more remember to check out our Instagram as we’re always posting new ideas of styling. We love creating floral magic both with fresh florals and floral designs – you can always mix and match to your Morris designs.
One of the true joys of timeless prints is their versatility. With just a few thoughtful touches, you can refresh their look to suit any season:
Spring – a beautiful time of year for fresh florals as the garden wakes up. Pop some bud vases on the table filled with various flowers from the supermarket or the garden to highlight the florals within the designs and bring nature and spring indoors to the table.
Summer – Let your prints take centre stage with bright florals and sunny tones. Our richly coloured Morris designs shine beautifully in natural light. This summer picture is particularly special as it’s featuring our Jean design which was coloured from the original blue to this gorgeous sage green for my wedding. Featured in the photo is my bridal bouquet and a piece of wedding cake for a little wedding de-brief round the table. The table should always be dressed beautifully since it’s often the epicentre of a good chat!
Autumn – One of our personal favourite seasons, we love a fresh pumpkin on the take with warm coloured florals. In October you’ll find us with lots of candles decorating the table and even potentially a Halloween theme or two! The rich tones in designs such as Compton and Red Strawberry Thief pop this time of year.
Winter – Create a cosy atmosphere with candlelight, we love Mallow and Red Brother Rabbit adorning the table with natural florals such as spruce. It’s easy to create gorgeous tablescapes this time of year, more is always more – more candles, more florals, more champagne!
However you style them, and whichever your favourite design, these designs never feel out of place. They adapt and evolve with your home, reflecting your own sense of style year-round.
When you invest in timeless design, you’re choosing pieces that you’ll love not just for one season, but for many years to come. Our William Morris and original Laura’s Beau floral collections are made with quality materials and enduring patterns — a celebration of heritage craftsmanship and lasting beauty.
We’d love to know how you style your fabrics year-round and which is your favourite for which season? We love a classic year-round print that can be styled for every situation from spring florals to birthdays and celebrations, Halloween, Christmas and more.

We’re often asked what the different weights of our fabrics are and what projects they’d be good for. These are our three different types of fabrics in our Brother Rabbit red colourway - cotton on the right, heavyweight in the middle and pvc on the left ✨ As you can see on the second photo, and as the name suggests, our heavyweight fabric has a thicker, heavier weave which makes it good for projects such as curtains and light upholstery 🪡 Our cotton fabric is perfect for quilting and projects such as dress making but honestly the amount of crafts that can be made out of them both are endless! 🫶🏻 Our pvc fabric is great to put straight on the table as it won’t fray so doesn’t need a hem and is easy to maintain as it’s wipe clean! All our fabrics are sold by the half metre and if you’d like a sample of any of our fabrics in any weight just let us know and we’ll get a free sample sent to you! 💌

Perhaps the most famous Morris design, Strawberry Thief was registered in 1883, inspired by Morris watching the thrushes stealing strawberries from under his fruit nets at the beautiful @kelmscottmanor 🍓 It was printed using the indigo dye technique, which was labour intensive and first attempted in 1875 but not perfected for 8 years 🎨 We also print Strawberry Thief in a beautiful red 🫶🏻

Gorgeous Golden Lily, designed in 1897, it’s been a timelessly popular design ever since but did you know that it really increased in popularity in the 1960s when the Beatles George Harrison wore a Golden Lily shirt? ✨

We print Willow Bough in this beautiful blue and also in green 🌿 First designed in 1887, it was first produced as a wallpaper design which May Morris, Williams daughter, used to decorate her bedroom before being adapted for fabric in 1895 when it was block printed in Merton Abbey 🌿

Trellis is a special design as it was the first wallpaper he designed for his company, Morris & Co. In 1864 🌿 It was inspired by the rose trellis in the garden of his stunning home @redhousent that he co designed with his friend and architect, Philip Webb

Have you seen Merton before? It’s so underrated as a Morris design we think! It was actually the first design that he printed on rotary screens under the name “Morris & Co.” After their rebrand from “Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co.’” 🌿 We’re just appreciating it during peony season!
