“I just want to make beautiful things.” – Saul Bass

14th January 2019

Now, perhaps the title of the blog isn’t actually truly crafting that Bass was referring to. However – we saw it on Pinterest and thought it was utterly perfect for this blog. Perhaps our favourite blogs to post recently are those that are filled with photos sent by you. Your craft projects using our fabrics are always fabulous and we share them on here to inspire others to get crafting!

Whatever your project – big or small – we would love to see it, so, send photos and a brief description to [email protected] and we will send you a 20% discount code. Use the code on your next order by using the code at checkout.

William Morris Clothing

Hopefully, you’ll have seen these wonderful dresses on Instagram – @vintagestyleme – who sews custom dresses made from a range of fabrics. She uses our William Morris fabrics to create these beautiful smock dresses in a variety of different silhouettes. From smock mini dresses to midi dresses with cute Peter Pan collars, take a look through her various designs. It’s also worth a note that she has UK dress sizes 6-26 and even an amazing ‘design your own’ section to really get exactly the item you want. Vintage Style Me also describes itself as ethical, conscious and sustainable which we can absolutely get behind – if you didn’t see our environmental sustainability piece, please read it here.

William Morris Chairs & Cushions

Elena sent us these lovely photos of her William Morris Compton and Pimpernel Cream chairs and pillows. These are wonderfully crafted, she’s done an amazing job! Upcycling her old chairs with fresh covers on whilst keeping them true to the style of the piece. The cushions tie the chair into the room wonderfully and look lovely with the white sheets. Elena said how much she likes our fabrics – thank you!

William Morris Cushion and Bag Crafting

Cathy sent us this photo of her William Morris Willow Bough Green cushion cover. Cathy created this following an embroidery workshop with Sally Roberson in Hammersmith. The additional panel of embroidery on top of the Willow Bough fusion adds a personalised element. The embroidery class sounds very up our street!

Ann sent us this photo of her tote bag project. She wrote us a lovely email to accompany her photo that we wanted to share with you. “Just received the fabric today, I was thrilled to bits with it and will be ordering more. I make tote bags out of used coffee bean sacks and I like to use nice fabric like Sanderson or William Morris to line them. Hope you like what I’ve done with your fabric.”
Thank you everyone that tags us in social media posts and sends us emails of their projects. It’s always so wonderful to see what can be made from our fabrics. Remember that we’re on both Twitter and Instagram if you do want to tag us in your project!

A little update from us 🇬🇧
From 1st July, our product prices will be increasing due to continued rises in manufacturing and material costs.
We’ve worked hard to absorb these increases for as long as possible, but to continue providing the quality you expect from us, a small price adjustment is now necessary.
Every product we create is proudly printed and manufactured here in the UK, using high-quality materials and processes that ensure a finish we’re proud of. Our fabrics are all digitally printed to give a crisp finish.
If you’ve been thinking about placing an order, now is the perfect time — all orders placed before 1st July will be at our current prices.
To thank you for your support, we’re offering an exclusive discount before the new prices take effect.
Use code: thankyou
Enjoy 10% off your order until 14th June
This is the perfect opportunity to place your order at current prices and enjoy an additional saving before the increase.
Thank you for supporting a UK small business and for choosing quality. We truly appreciate every order ❤️
