In Ancient Egypt, bread was used as a form of currency used interchangably with money, thats how important to them it was!
In 9 seconds enough harvest is combined to make 70 loaves of bread.
Bread is a universal symbol of peace.
In 1943 sliced bread was banned by a member of the US government. This ban only lasted a short time as it was an unpopular law.
Many superstitions surround bread- some believe if you put a piece of bread in a baby’s crib it will keep the baby healthy.
Whilst baking, we used our Lily oven gloves, and our Strawberry Thief PVC apron!
