William Morris Red Strawberry Thief 37mm Flat Bias Binding by the metre. This licensed William Morris design was first produced in 1883.
The design was a triumph for Morris as it marked the perfecting of the indigo-discharge technique of printing at Merton Abbey. It was inspired by William Morris's ovservation of the thrushes under the Strawberry nets at his home, Kelmscott Manor.
Printed onto 100% cotton cloth, just like all our licensed William Morris designs, our bias binding is printed in the UK and professionally cut in the UK too.
Bias binding is perfect for crafting and for finishing off projects such as upholstery.
Care for your item: the bias binding is machine washable at 30 degrees.
Measurements: the flat bias binding is 37mm wide, and sold by the metre.
We use high quality cotton fabric, printed in the United Kingdom. Our printer is a long-established British printer. We print and manufacture all our William Morris designs to our own specifications in both size and colour to best suit our products. We can keep our fabric cheaper than competitors because we do print in the UK, reducing transport costs, and we are an online retail only, cutting out the flashy showrooms! When you purchase our products, you're buying them direct from the manufacturer and so we can dictate our own prices.
