This Licensed William Morris Design was first produced in May 1882. It is also known sometimes as Brer Rabbit and was inspired and named after a character in Uncle Remus, His song and Sayings by J.C.Harris (1881) which William Morris would read to his daughters Jenny and May. The design was first produced at Merton Abbey using the Indigo discharge method of printing. The birds and rabbits within the design were drawn by Philip Webb, Morris' lifelong friend and colleague.
The apron is 100% cotton which has been coated in a soft feel clear gloss pvc coating.
This Pvc / Oilcloth apron is 54.5 cm Wide by 75 cm Long The ties are cotton and each waist tie is 50.4 cm long.
As with all our products, our Brother Rabbit Red pvc apron has been printed, pvc coated and manufactured in the United Kingdom. The pvc apron is wipe clean - so you can wipe yourself clean after any baking and cooking splashes! Also available in matching tea towels, tablecloths and napkins.
