Strawberry Thief is another of our licensed William Morris design that was first produced in 1883. It marked a triumph for Morris as it was produced as he perfected the indigo-discharge technique of printing at Merton Abbey. We also have Strawberry Thief blue within our collection. The design was inspired by William Morris’s observation of the thrushes under the strawberry nets at his home, Kelmscott Manor.
The Medium Bag is printed, pvc coated and manufactured in the United Kingdom, just like all our products.
The bag has a 11cm by 28.5cm base, 37cm tall by 29cm wide.
The bag is 100% cotton which has been coated in a soft feel clear gloss polish pvc finish. The bag is wipe clean. We have lots of other sized tote bags within the Strawberry Thief range.

Did you know that in Japan where our projects are sold, our tea towels are used not only for being functional but for decoration - we love that they’re framed, or laid on the table as a centrepiece to be admired or hung as a draped item to bring some nature indoors 🌿 we thought we’d do the same by using the tea towel as a centrepiece for a simple cup of tea and very delicious piece of cake! 🍰
