You might not know by looking out the window. So, we thought we’d just quickly remind you that it is technically summer right now. We’re still hoping for sunnier days. But in the meantime, we’re bringing summer indoors. By changing the textiles indoors, by swapping out some fabrics to a pop of colour summer William Morris fabrics, we can really make a difference.
Breathe new life into existing furniture by just recovering the textiles on seat pads for example. It really does change up the feel of a room so much and can really alter how it looks. The seat pads on a kitchen chair are a quick fix for this – by just recovering current cushions, it’s cost effective as you can buy our fabric to the nearest half metre. You can also tie it into the rest of the room by matching it to your kitchen accessories; placemats, tea towels, napkins etc.
Another great way to brighten up your kitchen is just by injecting a pop of colour with your kitchen accessories! A tea towel and oven glove hanging over the oven handle can add a little pizzaz to a room. Never underestimate how much of a difference a well laid table is; a lovely placemat with matching napkin always looks a table look much more put together!

Cushions for the sofa, new William Morris curtains, a covered ottoman and so on, there’s so much you can create. There’s a lot of designs within our fabric collections and a variety of weights of fabrics to pick from so whatever the project, you’ll find something suitable!
Morris fabrics are versatile, and so we don’t want to tell you which ones are to be used in any season. However, there are a few that seem to bring the sunshine indoors so well with the bright colours that we thought we’d just highlight them for you.
