William Morris Strawberry Thief Cotton Floral Fabric By The Half Metre
This licensed William Morris design was first produced in 1883. The design was a triumph for Morris as it marked the perfecting of the indigo-discharge technique of printing at Merton Abbey. The design was inspired by William Morris’s observation of the thrushes under the strawberry nets at his home, Kelmscott Manor.
The William Morris 100% cotton fabric was printed in the United Kingdom, just like all our fabric.
Measurements: William Morris Strawberry Thief has been printed onto 152 cm (60") wide cotton with a 2.5cm (1") inch salve edge on either side. The pattern repeat is 14cm
If you purchase more than half a metre within the same order, the fabric will be sent as one continuous piece.
As with all natural fibres, cotton will contract so slight shrinkage should be allowed for.
Care for your item: the fabric is machine washable at 40 degrees.
